Evim Osmanlı çinileriyle bezeli bir tarih mirasıdır.Bu süreçte bana sadece vahşi hayvanlar; kargalar, ekmek getiren serçeler ve kumrular (turtle dove) yardım etti. Bahçemde üzerimde Japonların milli giysisi Hakama ile salıncakta otururken, kumrular bana ‘mehteee’ (Kuzey Hindistan dillerinde ‘büyük amca’) diye sesleniyorlardı. Evimdeki teknolojilerle ‘İnanç özgürlüğüne karışamazsın!’ dediğim an başlayan kargaların gizemli hareketleri, benim için Meryem’in peygamberliğine dair kesin bir kanıttır.Ancak bu canlılar Maltepe Belediyesi’nin ilaçlama araçları ve zehirli yağmurlarıyla hedef alındı.
